Owner & Massage Therapist

Magdalene opened St. Paul PBD in April 2007. For 19 years, she employed and mentored massage therapists while building a personal clientele. Her long-term employee, Taylor, moved out of state in October 2025. With that change, Magdalene decided that now was the time to step away from being an employer to be more present with her clients and the growing needs of her family. Her husband, Robert Welp, is the owner/operator of Whitetail Hardwood Floors, another St. Paul small business serving the Twin Cities area.

 

Magdalene's therapeutic and prenatal massage sessions include a blend of Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point, and rehabilitative techniques. She is very passionate about working with clients who have repetitive stress injuries, car accident–related injuries, and mothers during and after pregnancy.

 

Magdalene's knowledge and experience can be attributed to Northwestern Health Sciences University, the talented therapists she has had the privilege of receiving bodywork from and working alongside, and the hundreds of amazing clients she has had the privilege of serving.
